Testimony of Favors Received Through the Intercession of Paul M. Murphy, MJ
My name is Anais. I am from Costa Rica and am 40 years old. Since June, 2002 my husband, Daniel, and i have been happily married, except for the fact that we had not been able to conceive and have children. For the past two and a half years we had tried many treatments without any positive results.
Just four months ago, my niece Cindy was married and only a short time afterwards was expecting her first child. While happy for her when she told me the good news, i began to cry because after only a few months of marriage, she was going to have a baby while on the other hand Daniel and i had been married for three years and not yet able to conceive. In fact, every time i saw an expectant mother i would break down and cry.
We were so desperate to have a child that we submitted ourselves to every type of fertilization treatment, including ones that i later found out were wrong; for example, attempts of in-vitro fertilization and artificial insemination as well as natural fertility pills. I could not conceive, and we gave up.
Near the end of November 2005, i received a call from my niece Cindy. She told me that she had been speaking with her husband's sister, Elizabeth, a member of the Institute of Consecrated Life, Miles Jesu about Paul Murphy, whose Cause of Canonization is being investigated. Cindy told her about my tearful plight and my giving up. Elizabeth said to tell me that she was going to pray so that Paul Murphy would intercede that i could have a baby. Cindy also told me that she and her husband would pray to Paul for the same intention, and that i should ask Paul for this favor as well.
And so Daniel and i prayed to Paul. Every day we prayed an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be and saying "Paul Murphy, pray for us". A few weeks later i called Cindy again to tell her the happy news that prayers were answered, I had conceived naturally. I am now six weeks pregnant. Thanks be to God and to Paul Murphy.
