Cause for Canonization of Servant of God, Paul M. Murphy, MJ

Approved Prayer for the Intercession of Paul M. Murphy

Officially approved by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of Phoenix. For the private use of the faithful to invoke the intercession of the Servant of God, Paul Murphy, MJ.

Father, You graced Your servant Paul Murphy as a talented architect who consecrated his life to You and was blessed with extraordinary virtue that found expression in the way he lived each day.

Living in a world of widespread promiscuity, he chose to remain chaste for the love of Jesus, Who he said, “reveals to me His own infinite love and mercy” and for the love of the Virgin Mary, whom he called “the sweetheart of my soul…and a Mother beyond compare.”

In an age that too often seeks material success and earthly fame, while the Church calls Her sons and daughters to holiness, his motto was: “God wants first of all your availability before your ability.” Thus he sought to do Your will faithfully, even accepting his early death from cancer with perfect peace.

May Your Holy Name be glorified in his canonization and through his intercession we ask for the special grace(s) of _____ through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Servant of God, Paul Murphy, pray for us. (Repeat 3 times)
